Standing Tall with Big Heart: Somatically, Mindfully, Creatively, Unceasingly
Dive deep into today.
Feast on each moment
As though it were your last.
When you are tired…rest.
When hungry…eat.
When thirsty…hydrate.
When you think of a Beloved…reach out and love them up.
When you are wallowing in a belief system that does not serve…breathe smack dab into the center of it and exhale all that is not needed.
Take care of you today.
Double your meditation time on your zafu.
Live in curiosity and gratitude.
Feast on each moment as though it were your last.
There is so much to integrate and adapt to. Give yourself the gift of extra sleep. Let your dreams speak to you.
Go to bed….now,,,
And yet it is, just like this.
Over the years my favorite mantra is breathing in Just and breathing out This.
Slowly and steadily:
Just This.
Just This.
Just This.
These two words will bring you back to the moment.
As Just This becomes your ally it will begin breathing you.
Trust Just This.
You are so much more than “Ain’t it awful thinking”.
You are Just This.
Don’t do it!
They knew the winter storm was coming
Bringing frigid air and blizzards for days.
They knew dawdling in the BackLand could not be
Even for one more hour.
Their vision was to get to Mexico ahead of the storm.
Their motivation was not to die.
They could not and would not compromise.
After filling themselves with water and seed for the next leg of their journey
The flock said good-bye with one last swirl above the BackLand and flew south.
It was 1:15 in the afternoon.
At 6 o’clock with the sunset the hard, fast winds came
Carrying heavy rains, sleet and now, this morning, snow.
The Rocky Mountain Bluebirds knew and took action.
•What do you know about your storms?
•What action do you need to take without compromise?
•What is your timeline?
Two days ago the Rocky Mountain Bluebirds
Fled the fires and pandemic hot spots
Of Colorado and Northern New Mexico..
The migratory pattern had been mitigated
by the unusually dry, warm weather, thick smoke and heavy winds.
But this morning when they flew over the BackLand and her water holes
They knew they were on course once again.
There waiting patiently in the high desert grasses
On the faded red wooden bench
Was the soon-to-be-old woman.
Each Autumn for over 40 years
She had welcomed them with water and seed.
She could count on their migratory visit and their winged wisdom.
Resting this morning on the barb wire they sang wholeheartedly ~
We are living in the change that changes every….single…thing.
We are living in the change that changes every….single…thing.
We are living in the change that changes every….single…thing.
The soon-to-be-old woman nodded in agreement.
Taking her blue ink pen and paper
She wrote at the top of the page:
“Change Agent: Living in the Change that Changes Every…Single…Thing”.
Next she listed antidotes to live and step fearlessly into the change that changes everything..
She is currently engaged in those steps.

Enter the cave you have been afraid to enter
It’s the cave that has been beckoning you
Bring candles to lighten it
Bring pen and paper to record what you discover
Bring a Beginningless Mind
Bring faith. Bring hope.
Bring the willingness to be surprised.
Now…look around with fresh eyes.
What treasures are you discovering?
Prepare your life for grace.
For the cave we are most afraid of holds the treasures.
And then take it to the streets!
Imagine the next moment
Is the moment you have been expecting
But never thought it would come.
Imagine this moment…
You walk away from the fear
Embracing that which you desire
Without failure buffering you
From your dreams.
Imagine how you would be living
Right now.
Make it alive! LIve it!
