Honest Explanations

How do you honestly explain your actions to yourself?
~Without pretending it was different.
~Without rationalizations.
Perhaps you were unaware the actions would hurt others, yet they have.

How do you now clean up the inner and outer energies?

Overheard…

“I don’t want to hear your complaints based on the choices you continue to make!”

A short silence followed quickly by the laughter of recognition.

Mindful Moral:
This is your life. When you find yourself complaining about it …well then, make different choices!

Staying focused ~ A mindfulness practice

Monkey Mind’s nature is to jump from one thought to the next.
Gremlin’s nature is to ruthlessly bully you.
Inner Critic’s nature is to question your abilities to move forward.

By keeping you unfocused, defensive and paralyzed your life becomes blocked with stagnant qi.

Antidote?
Top of the Hour Breath Meditation.
Focus on and activate your breath.
Inhale deeply. Exhale deeper.
Keep your awareness with your breath

Purposefully LeapFrog over Monkey Mind, Gremlin and Inner Critic’s destructive comments.

No need to linger.
This is Mind Training at its’ best!

Meditating…

People who meditate
Create getting to the cushion
As easy as possible.

For instance:
They meditate at the same time and place each day.
There are no exceptions.
There are no negotiations.
There is no putting it off.

Meditators are disciplined
In sitting on the cushion daily
Because ultimately
The experience beckons them.

Which means meditation
Is more than an activity.
Meditation is our ally, mentor
And spiritual teacher.

Meditation Practice

Just like as wee ones we practiced walking…
So we practice meditation.

Each day,
At the same time,
We find ourselves
Sitting on the cushion,
Breathing deeply,
Watching our thoughts,
Checking in with our bodies,
Going beyond the beyond…
All in awareness.

Unless, of course, we don’t!
And that, too, is practice.

The practice of returning again and again
To awareness
On and off the cushion.

I encourage you to get to your cushion
Each day..,.no negotiation…and practice.
